Robert Chasse
Vice President of New Business Development
Bob Chasse has spent the past 12 years in the sports marketing industry primarily involved on the agency and property sides of the business. In December, 2006, Bob joined Micro Target Media (MTM) as Vice President of Sports Marketing. MTM is a media and technology solutions company focused on providing real-time, trackable impressions and counting measurements via various types of outdoor advertising.
Prior to working with MTM, Bob was Sr. Director of International Speedway Corporation (ISC) for 41/2 years, where he managed ISC’s relationships with over 75 multi-track partners across 11 ISC facilities.
Before joining ISC, Bob was Vice President/Account Director at Millsport overseeing the agency’s Pepsi Cola North America’s Sports Group account, which included partnerships with Jeff Gordon/Hendrick Motorsports, NCAA, and Major League Baseball among others.
He also worked with Momentum Worldwide directing operations for Coca-Cola’s involvement with the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay as well directing the NASCAR and golf relationships for General Mills and Lucent Technologies.
Through his own company in 1995, Bob was contracted to direct operations for both the Centennial US Amateur Championship as well as the inaugural ESPN Extreme Games.
A Bachelor of Science graduate from Providence College and Master of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island, Bob resides in Ormond Beach, FL with his wife Allison and sons Luke, 13 and Drew, 9.
Jason Wonderly
Marketing Manager, Penske Racing
Jason Wonderly joined Penske Racing in August 2008 where he will serve as Marketing Manager for the organization.
Prior to joining Penske, Wonderly served as vice president of sales and marketing at HMS Worldwide where he worked to build the agency’s motorsports practice.
Wonderly’s previous experience includes leading the activation and program development of NASCAR and ISC for Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. A new partner to the sport, Checkers/Rally’s gained instant recognition by industry insiders and set the benchmark in the QSR category, winning the prestigious Bill Veeck sports marketing award for its official sponsorship with NASCAR in 2006. Wondery built fully integrated platforms associated with NASCAR and ISC, encompassing national and local market promotions at track events and competitions. Additional responsibilities included corporate hospitality, product integration, public relations and cause-marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining Checkers, Wonderly worked on business development for Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the to largest single-day spectator events in the world. A graduate of the University of Florida, Wonderly got his start in the motorsports world on the sales and marketing team for Chicagoland Speedway.
Gene Haskett
Independent Consultant
An excellent high-level negotiator and deal-closer, Haskett has vast experience in the Motorsports industry which spans 25 years.
Haskett’s start in the Motorsports world began in 1938 in Cleveland, where he served as Director of Operations for the Cleveland Grand Prix. In 1986 Haskett was named President and General Manager of Penske Speedway, Inc. including Michigan International Speedway, Cleveland Grand Prix, and Nazareth Speedway. He eventually was named Executive Vice President of the organization when it went public in 1996, and served in that capacity until late 1999 when International Speedway Corporation purchased all the Penske-owned tracks. For 200 until 2005, Haskett served in executive roles with Chip Ganassi Racing and, most recently, Dale Earnhardt, Inc.
Haskett has significant boardroom experience having served on seven executive boards including The Cleveland 500 Foundation Citizens Bank, The President Advisory Council for Western Kentucky University, and W.A. Foote Hospital, to name a few.
